Zelda, Ephemeral Fantasia and Returnal have all been there. Twelve Minutes is not the first game to explore the concept of the time loop. There are also a few plot holes that never really get fully explained, although that ensures you have plenty to think about and argue with – even after the main six to eight-hour thriller is apparently over. Along the way, the rather clipped, functional dialogue doesn’t really give the stellar voice cast of James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe much room to show off their immense talent. There are certainly frustrating moments trying to coax characters into particular conversations or specific positions in order to enact your plans can take longer than necessary, even though you’re able to fast-forward through familiar conversations. Taking the role of the husband, the player must use each new playthrough to discover fresh information, exploring the apartment and working out how an array of seemingly unrelated objects – a mobile phone, a knife, a photo, a jar of sleeping pills – can be utilised or combined to open fresh conversational and deductive pathways. Clearly inspired by the psychological thrillers of Hitchcock, Kubrick and Verhoeven, Twelve Minutes gives us a top-down chessboard view of a stage limited to just three rooms, with all the space provided by the backstories of the protagonists. This is the intriguing premise behind Annapurna Interactive’s compact, tense point-and-click adventure, created by ex-Rockstar and Ubisoft developer Luis Antonio. OMG, this was so good and no messes and the new casserole dish is non stick and although lighter and most likely cheaper (in quality), I prefer using this to the pan that came with the oven. Last night I cooked a wok dinner with tofu cubes, peppers, onions, noodles (boiled first), carrots, broccoli, celery and cashews with a teriyaki marinade. I ordered the casserole dish, thinking the higher sides would help prevent messes. I used Bake to make some cookies and used parchment paper and it worked well. I used Air Broil to make nachos and it was perfect and quick! ![]() I toasted bread and bagels and it seemed to toast fairly uniformly taking a bit longer that I thought it would considering how powerful this oven is. The first item I cooked was frozen fries and used the Air Fryer. This pre-heats up quickly and cooks fast. I like the controls and after a short learning curve is pretty simple to use. It also looks good sitting on my counter. I don't mind the lower profile (I prefer it) and unless you are wanting to cook multiple items or any foods that are higher vertical then this is fine. It takes up a bit larger footprint than my ancient Samsung but is lower profile. I am single and cook for 1-2 people and this is ideal. For me, that works but even when I made a good sized amount of nachos I had to press it down a bit so it didn't get too near the heating element. It is good sized in depth and width but lacks (for some) in height. One of the complaints I have read about the Ninja SP101 is that it is smaller. ![]() ![]() I looked at other options but they seemed huge (in size). Samsung says thanks to advanced AI, the Bot Handy “will be able to tell the difference between the material composition of various objects, utilizing the appropriate amount of force to grab and move around household items and objects.” And it picked up some clothing draped over a chair and dropped it in the hamper. The company showed the smart device grabbing dishes from a table and then placing them in a dishwasher. Image courtesy SamsungĪs this product is still in the works all we really got to see were canned videos that may or may not be possible with the Samsung Bot Handy. Samsung says the Bot Handy is like a third hand in the home: It can identify objects, carefully grab them and then place them in appropriate locations. Why would it need to? Because attached to it is a robotic arm with a gripper attachment. That tower can move up or down as needed. This roving robot has a central tower with a small display and sensors atop. While all of that sounds nice, I’m most interested in the Samsung Bot Handy, which the company offered a sneak peek at on Monday. There you can set “no-go zones” to keep the vacuum out of certain rooms, remotely start a vacuum cycle or use the vacuum’s webcam to peek in on your pets at home. Of course, if you have a Samsung phone or the Samsung SmartThings app, you get some extra benefits. Samsung says users only need to replace the bag every two to three months. It boasts 30W of suction power, so this isn’t like the original Roomba I had that model and I’ll just say it: The sucking of dirt simply sucked.Īfter the floor is clean, Samsung’s robot vac automatically returns to its “Clean Station” and dumps its contents into a bag for easy trash removal. Specifically, this vacuum has a LIDAR sensor, allowing it to recognize objects and navigate around them automatically. Like other recently announced autonomous vacuums, the JetBot 90 AI+ takes some of its parts from the automotive market. This time there were two actually useful ones, a new smart vacuum, and a still-in-development home helper robot to give you an extra hand. Speaking of smarter, there were no silly little home robots this year, which Samsung has used at prior CES events. Displays and information are fine, but “smarts” make the experience smarter. This is a smarter use of that display Samsung has been pushing on its refrigerator line for several years. Stacey talked about this future in November with Nick Holzherr, head of product for Whisk at Samsung Next. And shopping items needed for the recipes can easily be added to a companion app or requested for delivery from Walmart, Kroger, Instacart, and Amazon Fresh, using the Whisk network. Samsung Next bought Whisk AI, and this is the result.
